Christmas came and went rather uneventfully. The immediate family went out of town for the holidays and my mother was too stubborn to go with them, and because I'm her caretaker, I had to stay as well. Which, in the end, I was fine with. The original plans to go to Sedona fell through, at any rate, and while I would have liked going to Ruidoso, in the end, I was comfy just being home.
Right now, work is underway to repair both bathrooms, because it turns out my own bathroom's issues did require some form of repair! Fortunately, it wasn't too expensive.
New Years might be the big party for everyone. Last year, I went out with a friend and it was pretty fun to finally hang out with people. Granted the past few New Years I kept coming down with the cold, but last year, I was very determined to enjoy myself.
Not much to do this week. I might go out and by some clothes, since my mother is insistent that I buy something for myself for Christmas. I bought a giant portraiture of a cat carrying a sword. Does that count?
