What a way to start the New Year... two attacks in one day!
on the surface, i don't think the attacks in new orleans and las vegas have anything more than a bare-bone connection with the us army and fort bragg (one of the largest bases in the us, so of course the attackers would probably go through there at some point). i don't think these guys knew each other, much less planned out these attacks. almost everything about these cases can be put down to coincidences and maybe psyops.
but when you delve into these situations as problems arising from a patriarchal society that is slowly being forced into a more egalitarian one, you can almost immediately see the connections.
one aspect that hasn't been touched on is that the men in question were divorced, possibly because of their increasing radicalization to the right wing. the man from new orleans was estranged from his family, and prior to the attack, was planning on killing them all. religion was just a tool to allow him to vent his hatred of his situation into another avenue. the other was more than likely radicalized by default of MAGA being backstabbed by trump via his allegiance to elon musk. the symbolism is almost painfully obvious.
these attacks are extraordinarily patriarchal in nature. one in terms
as always, disenfranchised, angry and delusional men continue to be a massive problem that people do not want to look into. we're looking at an increasingly hostile group of people who cannot maintain marriages, careers, friendships or anything else because of their ego. trump and the right wing had fed them so much anger and excused so much violence that, quite possibly, he will now bear the brunt of the violence he nurtured in his own base.
